A few things I believe, and what I bring to every team I lead.
That means building processes that scale, setting clear priorities, and making sure the team delivers on time without burning out. I track outcomes, not just output. When leadership asks "what did design accomplish this quarter," I have an answer.
I've built teams from scratch and inherited teams that needed direction. Either way, I focus on the same things: clear roles, honest feedback, and a culture where people push each other to improve. Two designers I mentored were promoted within 18 months. That matters more to me than any product launch.
I build relationships with product, engineering, and executives so design has a seat at the table. I translate user needs into business language. I make sure we're solving the right problem before we start designing solutions.
North star visions, journey maps, opportunity frameworks. Whatever format fits the situation. The goal is always the same: align the team around where we're going so we can move faster together.
Leading a team doesn't mean stepping away from craft. I still open Figma, review prototypes, and run usability sessions. It keeps me sharp, helps me mentor better, and means I can unblock my team when they need it.
“Design leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about asking better questionsand creating space for the team to find solutions.”

Design Leader
Complex problems that require both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Organizations ready to invest in design as a strategic function, not just a service.
Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and business leadership. Teams that value outcomes over output and learning over perfection.
Opportunities to build and scale teams, establish design practices, and drive measurable business outcomes through user-centered design.
Companies pushing boundaries with AI, emerging technology, or transforming traditional industries through digital innovation.
I'm always open to conversations about design leadership, team building, and product strategy.
