“Design leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about asking better questions and creating space for the team to find solutions.”

Design Leader

01

Operational Leadership

I make design a reliable partner to the business, not a bottleneck.

That means building processes that scale, setting clear priorities, and making sure the team delivers on time without burning out. I track outcomes, not just output. Bringing AI into the practice was the same: the hard part wasn't the tools, it was getting designers to use them in their actual workflow. When leadership asks "what did design accomplish this quarter," I have an answer.

02

Growing Designers into Leaders

I believe people do their best work when they feel supported and challenged.

My role is to create that environment: clear expectations, honest feedback, and space to take risks. I've learned that the best teams aren't built by finding perfect candidates. They're built by investing in people and growing them into leaders.

03

Strategic Partner

I bring design into the conversation early, not after decisions are made.

I build relationships with product, engineering, and executives so design has a seat at the table. I translate user needs into business language. I make sure we're solving the right problem before we start designing solutions.

04

Vision-Driven

I create clarity when things are ambiguous.

North star visions, journey maps, opportunity frameworks. Whatever format fits the situation. The goal is always the same: align the team around where we're going so we can move faster together.

05

Bringing Design to Life

I stay hands-on with the work.

Leading a team doesn't mean stepping away from craft. I still open Figma, review prototypes, and run usability sessions. These days that includes designing with AI in the loop, prototyping faster and testing ideas earlier without handing over the creative judgment. It keeps me sharp, helps me mentor better, and means I can unblock my team when they need it.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR

The right opportunity

The Challenge

Complex problems that require both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Organizations ready to invest in design as a strategic function, not just a service.

The Environment

Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and business leadership. Teams that value outcomes over output and learning over perfection.

The Impact

Opportunities to build and scale teams, establish design practices, and drive measurable business outcomes through user-centered design.

The Growth

Companies pushing boundaries with AI, emerging technology, or transforming traditional industries through digital innovation.
